Your values form the foundation of your life. They dictate the choices you make and determine the direction that your life takes. Your values will influence your decisions concerning your relationships, career, and other activities you engage in. They act as the compass that guides you in life. Without values, you drift and will not likely achieve much.

Jesus had strong values. He valued many things but I will highlight twelve of them.

#He valued Life

He is Life and He came to give it. He did not take the life of anyone. He preserved it and when people lost it, He restored it. We must not take the life of others no matter what! We must not commit abortion; we must not kill.

#He valued Love

He was motivated by it. He gave love freely to others. He lived by love and died because of love. Love makes you a giver; not a taker! For more information, navigate via- https://selar.co/m/BBIOnlineStore

#He valued Peace

He is the Prince of Peace. He brought peace to mankind! We must work for peace all the time.

#He valued knowledge

He valued Knowledge, so He pursued it. It is not a coincidence that the all-knowing God is also the all-powerful God. At the age of 12, He sat with the most knowledgeable people in the temple learning by asking searching questions. Jesus valued knowledge, he pursued it and grew in it, and then favour followed! The Bible says in 2Peter 1:2, “Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord…” Favour multiplies when knowledge multiplies. He knew the value of knowledge. He said whatever will deprive you of education will deprive you of elevation.

It takes understanding to become outstanding. The Bible emphasized the place of wisdom and says get it. You were not born with it, so you acquire it. Someone might have graduated from the University where he got a degree but he never graduate from the University of Life.

Jesus knew himself. He said He was the bread of life; the way the truth and the life. He knew how valuable he was. He said, “Without me you can do nothing.” If you cannot define yourself no one will find you! You cannot be found if you are not defined. He understood his purpose in life. He said he came to save the lost.

#He valued Relationships

With God, with people. What God desires most is to have a relationship with you. He also wants us to have healthy relationships with others. Jesus cared about others and treated people well when while on earth. He took fellowship seriously. He said, “fellowship inspires, multiplies, and protects people.”

#He valued Faith

Faith is the number one spiritual capital and weapon of champions. If you cannot trust God you cannot thrive! Hebrews 11:4–6 says: “It was Faith that made Abel offer to God a better sacrifice than cain’s. Through his faith he won God approval as a righteous man, because God himself approved of his gifts. By means of his faith Abeh still speaks, even though he is dead. It was by Faith that kept Enoch from dying. Instead, he was taken up to God, and nobody could find him, because God had taken him up. The scripture says that before Enoch was taken up, he had pleased God. No one can please God without faith, for whoever comes to God must have faith that God exists and rewards those who seek him.”

Faith is believing and acting on whatever God says about anything you ask for. It simply means that whatever situation you find yourself in, find out what God says about it; believe and act on it long enough regardless of the situation and it will change! If you want to subdue kingdoms, quench the mouth of lions, and reign in life, faith is a must!

#He valued Prayer & Fasting

He spent time praying. He came out with answers each time He encountered a problem. He had power; He had the anointing; He had victory! Esther turned the battle against their enemies through prayer and fasting.

#He valued Souls

He prayed for them; sought for them; preached to them; taught them; healed and fed them until He died for them. Jesus died for souls. What are we dying for? He was rewarded by the Father, worshipped by angels and men! What will God reward you for?

#He valued Righteousness

He lived it; modelled it and died to give it to us! Obedience to God characterized His life. He was exalted. Righteousness exalts! It promotes. It brings honour and dignity. On the other hand, unholy living brings shame and disgrace and finally, eternal condemnation!

#He valued Service

He was humble. He served others. It takes humility to serve others when you are the Son of God. He taught us that service is the route to greatness. Your value is in your impact; your contribution to others! It is your impact that creates your importance.

#He valued Sacrifice

He even became a sacrifice! He sacrificed time, money, His glory in heaven; even His life. He knew that to go up, you must give up! How did Jesus win the battle of destiny? SACRIFICE!

#Jesus valued Gratitude

He highlighted the need for thanksgiving. He taught thanksgiving, praise, and worship. He gave glory to the Father in all things.

Summary

God is always faithful! He is good, gracious, and merciful! Besides, it’s a very bad habit not to say thank you to the One who has been so good to you without demanding anything from you. Let the above values guide you in your decisions, choices, pursuits, and relationships. As you give thanks to God, He will truly bless you in everything. Shalom!
